'North Star' is Patrick Donahue's second EP release in 2018. His South Austin Style is woven throughout this record, which features three original compositions plus a cover of Bob Schneider's 'Cap'n Kirk.' Patrick and his band perform weekly in downtown Austin, and the basic tracks for this EP were recorded live on stage. They were then taken to his home studio for vocal overdubs and additional tweaking. The result is a record that sounds like a studio recording, but with strong, tight performances that you'd expect from a seasoned live band.
